Dekáf'd by way of Swiss Water®

Originally pioneered in Switzerland, the Swiss Water® Process now operates in Canada. The gentle decaffeination method uses only water, temperature, and time. Zero chemical solvents.

Swiss Water® Processing involves using Green Coffee Extract to tempt the caffeine out of the beans -  immersing the beans in water already saturated with coffee’s natural compounds (minus the caffeine). Because the water is already “full” of flavor compounds, it selectively targets caffeine molecules, leaving flavor and aroma intact.

Activated carbon filters then sweep away the caffeine molecules, preserving the bright notes and captivating aromas unique to the coffee’s origin. The result? A truly elegant, rich-tasting decaf...all free of chemicals.

    New customer. Really pleased

    To date I've only tried two of the four sample packs. The sample packs are very generous and the packaging is really classy.

    Whisper Espresso: Absolutely outstanding. Beautifully balanced, wonderful round, full flavor. Perfect crema.

    Midnight Mirage: Exceptional blend. Gentle and fully flavored.

    Enjoyment

    I've become a coffee snob, especially with mold and metals and who knows what else, and I'm a decaf person, so I know when coffee makes me feel like crap and which don't. I also hate when decaf roasts don't have any flavor, I don't want to taste twigs and leaf litter, I want robust coffee notes. And so all of this to say, I'm actually enjoying dekaf coffee. It's worthy of my snobbery.
