Apple tart sweetness, floral and citrus bergamot whispers, and a refreshing watermelon note meld seamlessly in this light-medium roasted single origin treasure. Heirloom varietals shine with bright acidity and layered complexity.

ROAST: Light-Medium
CAFFEINE: 0.1%

This decaf Ethiopian coffee is certified organic at origin by OCIA International

Dekáf'd by way of Swiss Water®

Originally pioneered in Switzerland, the Swiss Water® Process now operates in Canada. The gentle decaffeination method uses only water, temperature, and time. Zero chemical solvents.

Swiss Water® Processing involves using Green Coffee Extract to tempt the caffeine out of the beans -  immersing the beans in water already saturated with coffee’s natural compounds (minus the caffeine). Because the water is already “full” of flavor compounds, it selectively targets caffeine molecules, leaving flavor and aroma intact.

Activated carbon filters then sweep away the caffeine molecules, preserving the bright notes and captivating aromas unique to the coffee’s origin. The result? A truly elegant, rich-tasting decaf...all free of chemicals.

    Great coffee! Second favorite.

We love both light roasts that Dekaf makes! Our favorite is still the Hush-Hush as it has more detectable notes than the Ethiopia Sidamo Bombe.

    Makes Vibrant Espresso

It's balanced with the right amount of acidity. Very pleasant to drink.

    Okay coffee, lacks complexity.

This is a perfectly drinkable light roast. If what you have available in your area are only decafs from Starbucks and Peet's or you can't get light roast decafs, you won't regret this purchase. I'm a big fan of Ethiopian coffees but this is the first I've seen a decaf version available so was eager to try this

Unfortunately it lacks the flavor complexity of premium Ethiopian coffees. It's not bad, just sort of flat and lacking any flavor notes of interest besides "light roast coffee."
