Built around the softer, baked-fruit side of Fall, A Sundown Affair's medium expression brings our Ethiopia Sidamo Bombe together with a new limited-harvest Colombia Excelso. The final cup layers notes of panettone, pear galette, and rum raisin ice cream. Think, rounded sweetness and gentle warmth. Both origins meet comfortably here, creating the limited blend’s most balanced and quietly cozy profile.

Dekáf'd by way of Swiss Water®

Originally pioneered in Switzerland, the Swiss Water® Process now operates in Canada. The gentle decaffeination method uses only water, temperature, and time. Zero chemical solvents.

Swiss Water® Processing involves using Green Coffee Extract to tempt the caffeine out of the beans -  immersing the beans in water already saturated with coffee’s natural compounds (minus the caffeine). Because the water is already “full” of flavor compounds, it selectively targets caffeine molecules, leaving flavor and aroma intact.

Activated carbon filters then sweep away the caffeine molecules, preserving the bright notes and captivating aromas unique to the coffee’s origin. The result? A truly elegant, rich-tasting decaf...all free of chemicals.

A SUNDOWN AFFAIR - MEDIUM EXPRESSION

LIMITED FALL RELEASE

Sundown belongs entirely to neither day nor night. It's the brief interval in which both are present. That sense of overlap defines this medium expression of A Sundown Affair.

Here, roast development softens the brighter character of Ethiopia Sidamo Bombe into baked orchard fruit, while the dried-fruit sweetness of Colombia Excelso becomes rounder and more generous. Compared with the light expression, the cup moves away from tart, candy-like fruit; beside the dark expression, it retains more fruit than cocoa.

The profile recalls panettone, pear galette, and rum raisin ice cream - all flavors connected by slightly spiced pastry, ripe fruit, and creamy warmth.

Like sundown itself, this expression is shaped by what meets there: brightness and depth, fruit and roast, familiarity and discovery.
