“But Isn’t the Flavor Weaker?”

That’s not because it had to be. That’s because it wasn’t roasted or sourced with care. Often times, decaf options that are offered are roasted dark to hide both the flaws in the bean source (poor quality choice), and/or the lack of freshness.
At Dekáf, we source our premium beans ethically and ensure quality and freshness by roasting in small-batches to order. Every coffee order at Dekáf is shipped direct to customers within 24 hours of roasting. We also maintain a zero-chemical policy throughout all of our operations, this starts at Step One with our beans - the decaffeination.
Dekáf sources water-processed decaffeinated beans. Why? Well, water-processed decaf retains the origin character beautifully. You’ll still taste the citrus brightness of Ethiopia, the fudgy body of Guatemala, the spiced depth of Sumatra. When roasted intentionally, decaf can express just as much personality as any full-caff roast.
